About Jennifer
Arborist, horticulturist, and educator. Jennifer started her career as an
extension educator with the University of Florida teaching horticulture to
the public. She was responsible for creating horticulture programs based
upon current needs of the community and provided a resource for people
to call, walk-in, or email gardening questions. Jennifer further extended
education through writing for the Orlando Sentinel with a weekly Q&A
column and hosted a live call-in gardening show called “Gardeners
Hotline” on PBS. She wore many hats as a guest speaker to schools,
lecturer for horticulture and ISA conferences, consultant to HOA’s, and
advisor with municipalities. Jennifer enjoyed outreach and developed
the local Master Gardener program. She taught, managed, and advised
master gardener volunteers to help further educate the public by
bringing more awareness to residents in their gardening practices.
Jennifer currently is as an arborist with Autumn Tree Care Experts. She
continues to help bring awareness to clients about the quality of their
trees by providing diagnosis, recommended treatment and care. In her
spare time Jennifer volunteers with the University of Illinois Master
Gardener Program, films for her Windy City Green Scene TV show on
Cable 25, and helps teach the Illinois Arborist Association (IAA)
workshops to assist future arborists to achieve their certification.
